Mission
?

As safety prevention advisor, you will support the management with regard to the deployment of the welfare policy within Luminus, contribute to its practical implementation and advise managers and employees. Primarily applicable to the Administrative sites, but also supporting the colleague prevention advisors on the Production sites.

As a psychosocial prevention advisor, you support the management with regard to the policy on psychosocial risks within Luminus and advise managers and employees on the practical implementation of this policy. Similar to the confidential counsellors, you are a point of contact for employees when they experience incidents concerning psychosocial risks.

In this role you ensure regular and relevant HSE communication and awareness initiatives.

Finally, you are also responsible for organising and overseeing the HSE training courses. This involves developing and organising the required HSE training courses. In doing so, you will also coordinate the activities of two employees.


What will you do?

As a Safety Prevention Advisor

  • Advise management, supervisors, and employees on welfare aspects at administrative sites (safety, health, ergonomics, hygiene, environment). Collaborate with Facilities to ensure safety compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the Global Prevention Plan and Annual Action Plan.
  • Maintain up-to-date HSE document management system
  • Contribute to risk analyses and involve external expertise when necessary. Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes.
  • Collaborate on internal emergency plans and procedures. Conduct audits and inspections, both internal and external.
  • Organize CPBW Admin committee and handle administrative tasks.
  • Stay updated on safety legislation changes.
  • Review and approve Pre-requisitions and purchase orders from a safety perspective.


As an HSE communication and awareness-raising

  • Inform and sensitize employees on potential safety topics by preparing the Zero Harm Messages of the Week, toolbox meetings, toolbox sheets and other internal communications or training
  • Ensure that relevant info on eLumi remains up to date
  • Coordinate the Luminus Group Health and Safety award scheme

As a Prevention Advisor Psychosocial Aspects

  • Provide advice to management, supervisors and employees on welfare aspects at all sites, linked to psychosocial aspects
  • Set up, monitor and participate in the implementation of internal procedures around psychosocial aspects (informal and formal interventions). In doing so, also cooperate with the confidential counsellors and assist them in carrying out their role
  • Participate in/perform the psychosocial risk analysis and analyse the results. Make proposals towards preventive actions
  • Participate in incident investigations in psychosocial incidents so to identify causes
  • Advising management, hierarchy and employees on the implementation of the 5 A's
  • Follow up and report on possible work-related illness. Investigate work-related causes and suggest preventive measures
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and managers in connection with post sick-leave re-integration.

As an HSE training coordinator

  • Make proposals to management on required HSE competences and how to obtain them
  • For new HSE training courses, determine which learning method can be used. In the case of e-learning: develop the e-learning using Flowsparks. For its content: in collaboration with fellow prevention advisers, with internal or external specialists, or based on own expertise
  • Monitor the quality of the training courses
  • Source and select training suppliers
  • Keep HSE training sheets up to date
  • Supervise training admin colleagues who organise the required safety training courses


Which skills do you have?

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written (English, French and Dutch), and interpersonal skills and ability to challenge constructively
  • Strong influencing and change management skills
  • Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • The ability to plan, prioritize and organize own workload
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • You are a team player
  • Vocational degree in safety management: prevention advisor level 1 or 2
  • Prevention advisor psychosocial aspects level 1 (or willingness to acquire in a reasonably short time frame)
  • Diplomate / builder of bridges / positive influencing skills
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in an HSE management role (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience with organization of HSE Training programs (prior experience with creating e-learnings is a plus)
