Description

As an ATEX & IEC Ex / Explosion Safety Engineer Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring explosion prevention and protection for our electrolyzer products. Collaborate with the product design team, conduct risk assessments, and create reports to ensure compliance with codes and standards. This role demands a strong background in electrical engineering and a deep understanding of blast protection calculations.

Your tasks:

• Engineer blast prevention/protection schemes following ATEX / IEC Ex / NFPA / NEC guidance.
• Collaborate with product design team to integrate prevention/protection schemes.
• Conduct risk assessment and consequence modeling for potential explosive atmospheres.
• Create Hazard Area Classification and ATEX prevention reports.
• Manage external consultants for blast protection analysis.
• Utilize your expertise in IEC 60079-10.
• Previous experience/certificates in Hazard Area Classification preferred.
• Ensure compliance with ATEX, IEC Ex, and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

Your profile:

• Engineering degree (electrical/chemical) with process safety background.
• Experience in explosive atmosphere management, blast prevention/protection.
• Background in chemical processing, oil & gas, paints, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of ATEX, IEC Ex, and related documents.
• Excellent knowledge of English both verbal and written.
