For one of our clients Hays is looking for an Internal Controller BeLux in Brussels.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading self-assessment campaigns to ensure compliance with corporate deadlines and requirements
• Defining and implementing action plans
• Updating local management and corporate on the progress of action plans
• Ensuring the correct application of group procedures and requirements
• Supporting in acquisition diagnostics
• Leading process improvement projects to strengthen the control environment and gain efficiency
• Leading fraud prevention efforts
• Collaborating with the compliance department on common topics
• Supporting in risk mapping, compliance reviews, and diagnostics
• Supporting in compliance training and awareness
• Acting as the point of contact for internal auditors

What we're looking for:

• At least 3 years of experience in Finance, Internal Audit, External Audit, or Internal Control
• Independent and autonomous
• Networking talent with strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• Flexibility to work in a complex and changing environment
• Excellent knowledge of English and fluency in Dutch or French
