BioLizard is a growing consultancy company providing bioinformatics and data science solutions for
our customers in biotech, pharma and diagnostics. Typically, a lizard adjusts to its surroundings. That
is exactly what we do, we adapt to our customers’ data environment! The research field is rapidly
becoming more data-driven, and we strive towards offering state-of-the-art bioinformatics, statistics
and machine learning solutions to help solve our customers’ biological questions. Our habitat is the
stretch of land where biologists, data scientists, ML experts, informaticians and statisticians, both
experts and juniors, both academics and company employees reside.

As a senior data scientist and ML expert, you will devise cutting edge, ML-based solutions for the
analysis and interpretation of our customers’ scientific data. Scientific data engineering, machine
learning, data visualization, software development and computational analysis of biological data are
familiar to you. You play an important role in functioning as the point of contact for our network of
academic data science and ML specialists, following up on professional and personal development.

Job requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, mathematics, computational biology,

bioinformatics or equivalent

• 3+ years of industry experience
• Extensive experience in advanced data analytics and Machine Learning
• Experience working with clinical data is a plus (patient diagnostics, clinical trials,...)
• Software development skills are a plus
• Willing and able to learn and implement new technologies
• Knowledge or background in life sciences is considered an advantage
• Fluent in English, with good communication skills
• Willing to travel when the need arises (depending on the project)
• Location: East Coast, United States
