Sustainability Specialist- Industrial Segment

Job Purpose and Impact

The Sustainability Specialist- Industrial Segment, will support the product category leaders and their teams in incorporating sustainability into the value proposition for customers.

In this role you will develop an in depth understanding of what sustainability means for each category and develop the knowledge of the commercial and sales team through training to ensure this understanding is conveyed to customers to deliver value for Cargill.
It is vital in this role that you look beyond our direct customers and provide insights on the sustainability drivers of end users.
Through your efforts you will upskill the category teams in developing the sustainability aspects of the sales toolkit and provide guidance, metrics, and coaching to develop strategic sustainability plans/priorities and targets for each category.
Key Accountabilities
Provide insights and input, understand the market drivers for sustainability in high priority industrial categories and incorporate emerging opportunities and expectations of our customers and advise on the Bioindustrial Sustainability Leadership Team- Industrial. Gain expertise and access the sustainability understanding in assigned industrial categories and identify the gaps. Collaborate with the commercial team and inform on marketing strategies, sustainability drivers and category insights. Drive the execution of project plans and work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand, coach, and advise on how global legislative moves in sustainability will impact our business areas by region. Implement and maintain a process to develop and provide training toolkits and deliver training to sales, commercial, R&D, Procurement/Risk Management and Marketing teams on sustainability and provide a valuable input to the Industrial Sustainability Leadership Team. Partner, support and coach assigned commercial teams to optimally position sustainability at the key strategic customers level, prospects and articulate our products sustainability attributes and benefits in use, in an effective manner. Be able to position and negotiate on customer sustainability requirements. Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of four years of related work experience with an emphasis on commercialization of sustainability

Preferred Qualifications Higher education in sciences
