The company is located in Groot-Bijgaarden.

The responsibilities for this position as a General Ledger Accountants are:
You will assist the grant manager in preparing financial reports for funders
You make necessary adjustments in accounts and ensure information is accurate and up-to-date
You provide guidance and feedback on required data and documentation for financial records and, sharing the lessons learned with all budget holders through appropriate communication tools e.g., FAQs, advice notes, verbal communication, info sessions for staff, etc.
You support the Fundraising Coordinator
You support the audit process as required
You support the grant manager in project audits
You make sure that timesheets are filled correctly and filed for audits and future reference purposes
You actively participate in all Operations Team and staff meetings and events
You actively engage in all Operations Team and staff processes such as planning and/or budgeting
You give and receive constructive feedback and support to/from colleagues
You undertake training and self-development as required

The required qualifications for this position as a General Ledger Accountant are:
you are experienced as a financial officer within an organisation of relevant scale and complexity
You are experienced in accounting and budget management
You Understand the Belgian legal and accounting requirements
You have analytical and problem solving skills
You have oral and written communication skills in English and French
You have organisational skills to set up and manage processes, work to deadlines and prioritise workload
You have advanced excel skills
You posess negotiation and inter-personal communication skills
You have high attention to detail
you are experienced in managing projects funded from European programs
